A Brief History of FACS

FACS was officially founded on February 4, 1972, when the First Assembly of God Church Board of Directors authorized the formation of a non-denominational Christian school to be housed in the FAOG church building.
Since 1977, FACS has been continuously accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Senior administrators are Wendell Meadows, head of school, Ernie White, elementary principal, and Joe Newman, secondary principal.
In November of 1999, the school’s 402 students moved from a 6.75-acre campus on Highland Street to the 42-acre site we currently occupy on Walnut Grove Road in Cordova. We’ve added nearly 400 students to our body since that time.
