Research shows that children whose parents, grandparents or guardians take a strong interest in education tend to be well-adjusted at school and motivated to succeed in the classroom.
Fortunately, the family oriented atmosphere at FACS makes it easy for volunteers to plug in and become involved.
Here are some volunteer avenues you might want to explore:
- Join the PTF.
- Join a booster club.
- Chaperone field trips.
- Bring unexpected refreshments to the teachers' lounges.
- Contact the guidance office and volunteer to share your business expertise in a classroom demonstration.
- Ask your child's classroom teacher how you can assist. Many teachers appreciate parents who are willing to run errands, provide student rewards for academic milestones, or simply pick up an occasional cup of gourmet coffee. Other teachers prefer parental involvement come through organized PTF or booster club activities.
- Pray daily for our faculty, staff and students.
PLEASE REMEMBER: FOR SECURITY PURPOSES, ALL PARENTS MUST CHECK IN AT THE MAIN SCHOOL OFFICE UPON ENTERING THE SCHOOL BUILDING.
