Summer Camps 2023

FACS offers a variety of Summer Camps, including Summer Day Camp, Spotlight Camps and Athletic Camps. 

SUMMER DAY CAMP

Dates: June 7 - July 21

Crusader Summer Day Camp is designed for students entering SrK through 5th grade for the 2023-2024 school year in need of safe and secure “all day” summer fun without the feeling of being in school. 

Camp dates are June 7 – July 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Before and after care is also available.

SUMMER SPOTLIGHT CAMPS

Each Spotlight "mini" Camp is one week and coincides with Summer Day Camp.

FACS Summer Spotlight Camps are mini camps designed for children looking for a fun and exciting way to take away summer boredom. Camps are available for most ages.  Cost range is approximately $95-$200.   Registration for each Spotlight camp ends two weeks prior to the first day of each camp.

Acting and You!

Dates: June 5-9, Mon-Fri

Time: 1:00-3:00pm

Offered by: Domenic Andolina FACS Theatre Teacher and Peyton Lewis

Camp is open to students entering grades 3-7. Cost is $150.

Number of campers is limited - Minimum 5/Maximum 10

Interested in the art of storytelling? This camp will give you foundational skills for theatre. Whether you have or haven’t acted, you’re welcome here! We will explore improvisation, voice and diction, character building, and more! Followed by a mock audition to showcase your new skills!

Let's Create Some Art!

Dates: June 5-9, Mon-Fri

Time: 12:00-3:00pm

Offered by: Lori Cook, FACS Elementary Art Teacher

Camp is open to students entering grades SrK-6. Cost is $150.

Number of campers is limited - Minimum 6/Maximum 10

Each day, you will create fun, one-of-a-kind Art such as watercolor, acrylic paintings on canvas, clay creations, collage, Paper Mache’, and more!! Come join us for some Art fun!

FACS Flight Camp - Drones 101

Week 1: June 12-16, Mon-Fri

Week 2: July 17-21, Mon-Fri

Week 3: July 24-28, Mon-Fri

Times for each week-long camp:

Morning Session: 9:00am-12:00pm (Students entering grades 5-12)

Afternoon Session: 1:00-4:00pm (Students entering grades 7-12)

Offered by: Ian Alexander, FACS Jr. High Science Teacher

Number of campers is limited - Minimum 6/Maximum 12 per session.

Cost for the camp is $200 PER SESSION.

Come learn the basics of aviation and drone flight in this week-long workshop. Students will have several opportunities to fly and code a drone through several targeted activities and an obstacle course. We will also have small lessons that highlight the many uses of drone technology.

STEAM Camp

Week 1: June 12-16, Mon-Fri

Week 2: June 19-23, Mon-Fri

Times for each week-long camp:

Morning Session: 9:00am-12:00pm (Offered by Monny Baker, Elementary STEAM Teacher)

Afternoon Session: 12:00-3:00pm (Offered by Wendy Gray, High School STEAM Teacher)

Camp is open to students entering grades 1-12.

Cost for the camp is $135 PER SESSION.  Minimum campers required is 12.

Recipe for Success

Camp is open to students entering grades SrK-1. Cost is $125.

Number of campers is limited: Minimum 8/Maximum 12

Come join us in this cooking themed phonics and math camp! Students will have fun practicing
key skills to help them be successful in kindergarten & 1st grade! You don’t want to miss out on all the yummy fun we will have!

All Things Girls

Dates: June 19-23, Mon-Fri

Time: 12:30-3:00pm

Camp is open to students entering grades SrK-3. Cost is $125.

Number of campers is limited: Minimum 8/Maximum 10

Enjoy four days of everything girly. We will learn basic crocheting, learn etiquette skills, practice team building, enjoy daily crafts, and more! Bring your favorite dolls! We will discuss the proper ways to hold and take care of a baby! We will end the week with a tea party and dressing like a princess!

Boys Will Be Boys

Dates: June 19-23, Mon-Fri

Do you like to play hide and seek, run relay races, build a fort and make the best paper airplane ever? This camp is for you! The boys are going to learn Godly principles of becoming a gentleman in today's world and have fun doing it. They will learn how to handle peer pressure and be a positive leader among their peers. Let’s try out some limbo and do some silly shakes when we need to get the energy out!

We All Scream for Ice Cream

Dates: June 26-30, Mon-Fri

Time: 9:00-11:30am

Camp is open to students entering grades 2-3. Cost is $125.

Have you ever wondered where ice cream came from, how it’s made or what flavor is most popular? Use your reading skills to learn these things and then make your own ice cream!

Olympic Games and Sports

Dates: June 26-30, Mon-Fri

Time: 9:30-11:30am

Camp is open to students entering grades 1-6. Cost is $125.

Number of campers is limited: Minimum 6/Maximum 12

Many sports and games help kids learn skills such as solving problems, following directions, how to share and work together. We will play games and have lots of fun!

Welcome to the Carnival

Dates: June 26-30, Mon-Fri

Pet Care

Camp is open to students entering grades SrK-3. Cost is $100.

This summer camp encourages campers to explore the exciting world of Pet Care. Campers will learn how to be gentle, patient, and kind to animals and make a pet feel safe and loved. Building With Legos!

Come join and build along with other campers who love creating with Legos! Each camper will be given a Lego building challenge and will have the opportunity to show and talk about what they made for the challenge. This is a fun camp where campers can build and make new friends!

Lego Creations

Dates: July 10-14, Mon-Fri

Time: 9:30-11:30am

It’s time to dump out the Legos and begin the Lego building creations. Campers will work individually to complete the daily challenges. Campers will learn great ideas for building fun and unique designs. Together, we will create an awesome Lego City!

Gardening Activities for Kids

Dates: July 10-14, Mon-Fri

Time: 9:30-11:30am

Summer is such a fun time for kids. They are finally able to go outdoors and play! To celebrate summer this year, we will be creative with many DIY summer garden activities. All the activities will be super fun and so easy the campers can do them without help! Campers come prepared to have fun, get dirty, explore, and investigate!

Wild & Wacky Science Experiments

Dates: July 17-21, Mon-Fri

Morning Session: 9:30-11:30am (Outdoor experiments)

Afternoon Session: 12:00-2:00pm (Indoor experiments)

Camp is open to students entering grades PreK-JrK. Cost is $125.

Number of campers is limited: Minimum 6/Maximum 10

Join JrK teacher, Mrs. Allison, for 5 days of fun while she introduces you to getting ready for PreK and JrK: How to prepare for the first day of school & what to expect. Campers will enjoy exploring the alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes. Campers will also have fun making crafts and spending time on the playground! Plan to join us for a great time together!

Journey Through the Bible

Dates: July 17-21, Mon-Fri

Time: 9:30-11:30am

Offered by: Donna Henderson, FACS 4th Grade Teacher

Camp is open to students entering grades 3-6. Cost is $110.

Number of campers is limited: Minimum 6/Maximum 10.

Campers will explore their faith as they begin an exciting journey learning from the major themes and stories from the Bible. Campers learn how God’s promises in the Old Testament connect to the New Testament and today. Time will fly by with meaningful Bible stories and fun games! Increase your child’s desire to read and comprehend what they are reading as they journey through Bible stories that will help them develop an interest in reading before the new school year begins!

Best Friends & Mean Girls

Dates: July 17-20, Mon-Thurs

Time: 1:00-3:00pm

Offered by: Dr. Laura Farien, FACS Elementary Principal

Camp is open to FACS girls entering grades 4-6 in the Fall of 2023. Cost is $100.

This is an essential camp tackling what students can do to cut through stress and friendship pressure, and find a path to purpose. Join Dr. Farien for a girls’ only Bible study learning about navigating life as a girl!

Shurley English

Dates: July 17-21, Mon-Fri

Time: 12:30-2:30pm

Offered by: Donna Henderson, FACS 4th Grade Teacher

Camp is open to students entering grades 3-6. Cost is $110.

Number of campers is limited: Minimum 6/Maximum 10.

The Shurley Method English camp will introduce and reinforce the grammar curriculum your child will be doing this school year. It teaches the solid foundation of grammar in a new and exciting way.

ATHLETIC CAMPS

Each Athletic Camp is one week and coincides with Summer Day Camp.

Children who participate in FACS Summer Athletic Camps will build confidence and learn skills for success while having fun.
