Elementary and secondary school counselors at FACS have master's degrees in counseling and a strong knowledge base in childhood development and behavioral science.
Counselors meet with students on a variety of issues related to personal growth and development and interpersonal relationships, approaching all concerns from a Christian perspective. Family support and involvement is an integral part of the counseling process.
In addition to personal counseling, the Guidance & Counseling Department develops and implements age-appropriate character training modules for students in elementary and secondary school. The department also partners with the FACS PTF to host seminars aimed at assisting parents in raising Godly families in an increasingly hostile culture.
