The Mission of the FACS Athletic Program is to develop students physically, spiritually, mentally, socially and emotionally through team participation that they may glorify Jesus Christ while maximizing God-given potential.

MORE THAN A SPORT

As a vital ministry of First Assembly Christian School, the FACS Athletic Program teaches students values and skills that are beneficial to and transferable to the classroom now and in college as well as to future roles in the workforce, family, church, and community.

Athletic contests at FACS provide students with rallying points for unity and a sense of pride in belonging. They also provide opportunity for Christian fellowship among the students, faculty, staff, board, parents, grandparents and friends in the “FACS Family.”

Student-athletes at FACS pray together, work together, and serve together on and off the field. Coaches develop devotional programs, pray with and for their students, and involve student athletes in Christian service programs throughout the Memphis area and beyond. Some examples include building projects with Habitat for Humanity, partnership with youth athletic programs for the developmentally disabled, and fundraising to benefit seriously ill Mid-South area children.

Student athletes are held accountable for their academic progress. Those students who hope to play a collegiate sport work with a dedicated FACS academic counselor to ensure eligibility.
