Coach Taylor brings over 20 years of coaching experience at the middle school, high school, and AAU/travel basketball levels—working with both boys and girls programs. More importantly, he approaches coaching as a ministry, committed to building strong character, leadership, and faith in the lives of student-athletes.
Most recently, he served as the Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at Elmore Park Middle School, where he led the Lady Eagles to the 2024–25 Municipal District Runner-Up title and a TMSAA Regional Runner-Up finish.
Prior to his time at Elmore Park, Coach Taylor spent two seasons as the Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach at Collierville High School. During his tenure, he helped guide the Lady Dragons to a then school-best 20–10 record—their strongest performance since 2002.
Before Collierville, Taylor served as the Head Boys’ Coach at Schilling Farms Middle School for five years. Under his leadership, the Stallions captured one Municipal Schools Regional Championship and earned three additional Regional Runner-Up titles.
Beyond school basketball, Coach Taylor has spent over two decades coaching AAU/travel basketball, mentoring dozens of student-athletes—many of whom have gone on to play at the collegiate level. His passion for mentorship is rooted in his faith, and he sees basketball as a platform to live out the principles of Faith in Action—developing not only skilled athletes, but Christ-centered leaders.
Coach Taylor is excited to join the FACS community. We look forward to the energy, experience, and spiritual leadership he will bring to our girls’ basketball program.
