Bringing The Wizard of Oz to Life
The musical is led by Domenic Andolina, Director of Theatre, with the strong support of Frances Miller, Director of Choirs. Both school staff members have poured into the students, encouraging them to give their best during each rehearsal and performance.
"FACS is deeply appreciative of the work Domenic and Frances have put into the musical," Dr. Bryan Sanders, Head of School, shared. "Both of these individuals exemplify what it means to lead by example and present a picture of Christ-likeness in all that they do."
Comprised of a cast and crew of more than 35 students who take on the role of actors and backstage helpers, students began rehearsals back in December 2022 in preparation for this production.
Domenic Andolina, Director of Theatre, said, "The talent of our student body continues to be discovered and developed in amazing ways. There is nothing like seeing a student's talent be polished and shine right before our eyes. I pray that each student continues to use their voice to glorify God. Our talents cannot remain dormant, they must be cultivated and used to direct everyone to the One who gave it to each and every one of us."
The production has also had the help of an army of volunteers who rallied to bring the fun and colorful production to life. Volunteers have spent countless hours building a creative set design.
