On Monday, April 11, 2023, teams of golfers took to the green at the Wyndike Country Club, a prestine golf course located in Collierville, in a show of support for First Assembly Christian School. The annual golf tournament began more than a decade ago as a way to garner support and investment into FACS Athletics, all while having fun and playing the sport of golf. Now hosted in honor of the legacy of the Spain family who have poured into academic and extracurricular programming at FACS since its early years as a school, the golf tournament supports the ongoing maintenance and operations of more than 30 sports offered at the school.
With beautiful weather and a lot of golfing fun from 20+ teams, more than $20,000 was raised to support athletic programming and student-athletes from grades 5-12. Golfers and volunteers at the tournament represented included FACS students, parents and grandparents, alumni, faculty and staff and other supporters from the community.
