Cross Country Meeting 9 a.m., July 6
Any rising 6th-12th grader interested in running Cross-Country for the 2009 fall season please meet at the pavilion at Shelby Farms at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 6. Coach Wilkes and Coach Saunders will discuss practice and meet schedules. Students may be experienced runners or have no experience whatsoever. All you need is heart!

Swinging for the Fences
Our FACS Varsity softball and baseball teams finished third and fourth in state this year, respectively, with a number of FACS athletes being recognized regionally. All-Conference Team softball players included Raquel W., Kimberly K., Lindsey C. and Ali D. Raquel W. and Kimberly K. also were named to the All-Tournament Team. All-Region baseball players were Andrew B., Dan G. and Jack R.; Alex A. and Kevin C. were recognized as All-Region Honorable Mention.

Please pray for students as they prepare for college entrance exams. Pray specifically for good concentration and recall on test dates. The SAT is administered June 6; the ACT, June 13.
FAMILIES: Plese pray for one of or SrK teachers and her daughter who were injured in an auto accident June 1 and face a long recuperation time at home and in physical therapy. Two FACS sisters (one a rising senior and the other a 2009 graduate) are mourning the loss of their father, who died of heart failure on April 24. Please pray for the Lord's peace and comfort. An FACS rising freshman is mourning the loss of her father, who died in an auto accident over spring break. Please pray for her and her family. Pray for faculty and staff who are caring for aging parents while simultaneously building into the lives of our students. Praise God for answered prayer as one faculty member who had been searching for some time found care in Memphis for her father; pray that teacher will be able to bring her mother to Memphis as well. Praise God that another faculty member has found excellent care for both of her parents in the same facility.
